Lahore: (Web Desk) Actress Meera has challenged the decision of denial of marriage in Lahore High Court. Justice Risal Hassan Syed heard the appeal of actress Meera against the decision of the Lahore High Court to declare the marriage certificate of actress Meera Atiq-ur-Rehman valid. The court issued notices to the parties including Atiq-ur-Rehman.
Rana Asad Munir Advocate appeared on behalf of the petitioner. It was argued in the petition that Atiq-ur-Rehman had prepared a fake marriage certificate and photographs. He was not given a fair chance to testify. The petitioner said that the trial court did not certify the marriage certificate submitted by Atiq-ur-Rehman in accordance with the law. The original marriage certificate against the actress was not presented in the trial court either. Not offered The petitioner said that the marriage seeker also stated that there were no documents to prove the marriage certificate of Atiq-ur-Rehman. The family court insisted on the marriage photos for the authenticity of the marriage certificate. Atiq-ur-Rehman presented the edited photos to the court for blackmailing. The petitioner contended that the family court Dismissed the claim of denial of marriage on the basis of photographs of the alleged marriage, could not present the parents as witnesses in the court in view of the danger to life, therefore the degree and session court order against denial of marriage should be quashed. Rehman’s marriage certificate should be declared false. The court on March 14 sought reply from the parties. It should be noted that the family court had rejected the claim of actress Meera on May 28, 2018 that the marriage certificate of Atiq-ur-Rehman was declared as false. Actress Meera had filed an appeal against the decision of the family court and on January 31, 2022 Declaring her the wife of Atiq-ur-Rehman, Meera had rejected the marriage appeal.
